Water Wall Face

Saw it during the day, saw it during the night. It's the Crown Fountain in Chicago. These towers display random images of Chicago residents. Sometimes the water seems to spout for the image mouth when it's not cascading down each facade. And night or day, there is always someone near to take the bath :)

In line

It was the 4 of July and we were looking around for nice places near lakes in Wisconsin. They had already visited one they found nice during the weekend. So we went to this particular one but as soon as we got there we were charge $3 to park the car. Why? Because we weren’t from town and it was the 4 of July. Enough reasons to charge us differently from a Sunday (free). Because we hadn’t been charge before just to park the car near a lake, we stayed more time than usual to enjoy the “expensive” landscape. It wasn’t the price tag, just the notion of being charged. But it was worth it. The place was really nice and staying long enough I was able to take the time to notice these gulls all lined up in and old iron structure. And there it is. Stop, and take your time. You might see things otherwise you wouldn’t see.

Hidden street

I call this photo "Hidden street" because I saw this scene by mere luck. I was walking down a main street, in Florence, Italy, when I luckily look left and saw this. I grab the camera and took the shoot. Also right on time because a few seconds later the man on the left moved. I managed to take a second shoot avoiding the bright sun light on the top but it not longer was the same picture. Sometimes, and only sometimes, you just are on the right place, at the right time.

Bridge to the sea

I was running late to join some friends at the beach. So, as soon as I got to the place, I was asking for directions over the mobile. While trying to guide me to where they were I was following this walk way to the beach. When I saw for the first time I was hypnotized with the scene. I did went until the end just to discover that it lead nowhere. So I figure it's just unfinished or some storm took apart the last part. But I didn't leave without taking a shot to the scene that hypnotized me :). It's Vila Praia de Âncora on the north of Portugal.

The end of the journey

After a day spent in car traveling I was finally near my home destiny in Portugal. So I stop in Caminha, that is very near the border with Spain, to have dinner. While I was walking to the restaurant I was looking to the familiar end of the day scenario. So I just placed my camera on the border of the road, waited to get a road free of traffic and took the photo. It reminds me of the feeling of the end of a journey: glad to be back home and at the same time sad by the end of the journey. Curiosity: actually the right portion of land on the photo is Spain and the left, Portugal.
